Need a little inspiration? I do....
The man who makes a success of an important venture never wails for the crowd. He strikes out for himself. It takes nerve, it takes a great lot of grit; but the man that succeeds has both. Anyone can fail. The public admires the man who has enough confidence in himself to take a chance. These chances are the main things after all. The man who tries to succeed must expect to be criticized. Nothing important was ever done but the greater number consulted previously doubted the possibility. Success is the accomplishment of that which most people think can't be done.

What's Your Child's Dream?
I am amazed at the download of info and ideas I am getting. God continues to give me a new theme or party idea or decor or dress up idea daily! It is really cool. Some things I've thought a/b before, others seem brand new. I like to keep things fresh and exciting. How how stagnant and stale things of life can be. That is no fun at all on many levels! With God, we can have new, exciting things come our way each and every moment if we are open to it and allow things to flow in and out of our lives. For me, as much FUN as that sounds, I have realized I am a natural born planner. Some would love that, but I don't. I end up putting too much pressure on myself and therefore I have very little fun. I have got to remember that God created us to enjoy life just as much as HE created us to work. "Work" comes in different forms for everyone. Just b/c you don't punch a clock or have a boss doesn't mean you don't have work to do. I have a lot to do but am technically unemployed, or now I guess I'm self employed. Work is still work. Its chores and comittments and family and fill in the blank! So my point is this. Its hard to do, and I'm preaching to ME, but can we try and have more FUN?! I know I need it. Thats my prayer today .... wherever you are, find a way to ENJOY THE JOURNEY! I promise to do the same :)

Not everything and everyone is for us
I just wanted to share an important realization. Not everything in this world is FOR us. Not every person in this world is FOR US. You may take that any way you like. For me, that means that not every single place in Chattanooga area is for me to market this new venture. Some places/people are just not receptive and that is O.K!! I refuse to let it get to me. I just figure okay, God, that's not for me....and keep on going.....and on the plus side, I get to experience things for myself to be able to say YES, I LOVE THAT! or no....not so much. :) and let it be.

In the beginning.....
Wow. I am having a blast getting the word out regarding this new venture. It still amazes me just what has happened in getting here. Most wouldn't care for the gory details but I do have to say a few things. I had a wild n crazy idea....FOUR years ago! I was preparing for my eldest daughter's 4th birthday. It was a Cinderella theme and I was genuinely having a BALL!! Putting together ideas, creating decor and "working" this party was very entertaining and fun for me. And the party itself went great. The girls dressed as Cinderella, there were glass (plastic) slippers and white lights everywhere, a castle and carriage for a centerpiece and the cake was Cinderella herself. I had my husband (who can actually draw) make the place cards which were a glass slipper in blue and had the guests names on them. They danced and played and fun was had by all. But let me back up a little...while getting this party together, I had this thought: I should plan and coordinate kids parties for a living! IT WENT NO FURTHER THAN THAT. I shared the idea w/ Duane but it just kind of blew away after that. I don't really have the answers for why it happened that way. Maybe it wasn't the right time, or maybe it was and I missed out on a LOT! But I choose not to stay there, wondering why I didn't act on that idea. Was it God speaking to me? I don't know. Probably. I do know I wasn't really in a place then to take a thought and then pray and seek it out. I hadn't seen God like that at that point in my life. I loved Him and I knew He loved me and was there when I needed Him but I didn't have the daily conversations and relationship I have now. Fast forward 4 years. I find myself yet again getting ready for Lydia's birthday party and a fabulous one at that! She choose to have her special celebration at Mercy Stables in Ringgold, to ride horses and have a hayride and play with the animals. It was fantatsic!! I kept things very simple, but it was great and the best part was her response: "it was the best party I've ever had!" Ah ha! I spent the last week of January and most of Feburary praying and seeking, and asking God and thinking and talking it out. And here I am.
